Go Public with Your Faith

and Start a New Life

Your Next Step of Obedience: Water Baptism If you have made the most important decision of your life by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, Water Baptism is the public and joyous declaration of your faith. It is the visible representation of a profound transformation that has already occurred within you. At Today’s Church, we believe that baptism symbolizes the end of your old life to rise up to a new identity and a renewed purpose in Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “The old has passed away; the new has come.

Why is baptism important

in our faith?

It is completely normal to have questions, doubts, or different past experiences. Baptism is an external symbol of an internal transformation. It represents dying to the old life, being cleansed by Jesus, and being raised to a new life. It is your public testimony: "Jesus transformed me, and now I live for Him." You are baptized to follow the example of Jesus, because He commanded it (Matthew 28:19-20), and to publicly declare your decision of faith.

When is the ideal time?

Once you have made the conscious decision to follow Jesus. You don't have to wait to "feel perfect"; baptism is the beginning of the journey, not the final destination.

We are deeply inspired to hear how Jesus is transforming lives in our church. Soon you will be able to see videos and testimonies here from real people who took this step of faith and obedience, sharing their experience of new life in Christ.
